Address by Oleksandr Ostapovets, President of the Ukrainian Nuclear Forum Association
I sincerely thank everyone who supported my candidacy for the post of President of the Ukrainian Nuclear Forum Association.
For me, this is definitely an important event. And I will make every effort to perform the tasks well.
The main priorities of the Associationare to promote the development of nuclear energy as a basic low-carbon technology for electricity generation and comprehensive assistance in the development of the domestic nuclear industry in general. And this is especially relevant right now - during the launch of the project to build new power units at the Khmelnitsky NPP.
Another important component of the Association's activity will be the effective representation of the domestic nuclear-industrial complex of Ukraine at the international level. We will take an active part in the work of FORATOM and will take initiatives. After all, thanks to many years of truly invaluable experience in the safe operation of nuclear facilities, advanced nuclear engineering, advanced science and highly qualified specialists, Ukraine deserves to occupy one of the leading positions in the world nuclear arena.
There is a lot of work ahead, but I am one hundred percent sure that we will succeed!
