From the History of the UNF Association
On December 2, 2008, the first founders meeting was held and protocol of intentions was signed.
The founders of the UNF Association became: NNEGC «Energoatom», State owned «Eastern Mining and Processing Complex», CJSC «Scientific-Production Enterprise «Radiy», OJSC «Pivdenteploenergomontazh», OJSC «Teploenergomontazh», Scientific-Production Enterprise «Hartron-Energo Ltd» and Kharkiv Science-Research and Design Institute «Energoproekt».
On December 16, 2008, Assembly meeting was held, at which the draft of a Charter of the UNF Association was agreed.
During 2009 the work for the state registration of the UNF Association as a legal entity was held.
In 2010 working group was created, which meetings were held on April 21, 2010 and May 25, 2010 for the preparation of the first General Meetings of the UNF Association.
On June 15, 2010 General Meeting of the UNF Association was held.
On November 3, 2010, an International Conference, organized by the UNF Association, with the participation of delegates from the European «FORATOM» was held, the Membership Application to the European «FORATOM» was adopted.
The Directorate of UNF Association was formed on June, 2011. And today it consists of general director; deputy general director, project and program manager; manager of organizational issues, projects and programs; project and program managers; office manager.
According to the main activities of the UNF Association and the European Nuclear Forum four working groups were formed, consisting of representatives of UNF members:
- «Standards for Security and regulations»
- «Cooperation with the mass media and public»
- «Energetic infrastructure and project finance»
- «Education and staff training»
- «Support to Ukraine's Nuclear Industry for the Implementation of Nuclear Power Projects»
- «Effectiveness of implementation of nuclear projects, including in the tendering procedures that would take into account the specificities of the nuclear industry»
On the 6th of July, 2011 the meeting of the Presidium of the UNF Association was held. It was dedicated to the adoption of the Association as an associate member of the European Nuclear Forum.
