The Ukrainian Nuclear Forum Association

In 2008, the Ukrainian enterprises of fuel and energy complex of Ukraine were invited by NNEGC «Energoatom» for participation in the creation of the UNF Association. During 2009 the work for the state registration of the UNF Association as a legal entity was held.
The aim of the Ukrainian Nuclear Forum Association is the coordination of activities for solving common economic and social problems, the impact on the formation of public policy concerning nuclear industry, assistance in the achievement higher level of confidence on the part of Ukrainian society to the use of nuclear energy in economics.
The objectives of the Association are also forming the common position on actual problems and representing the branch interests, establishing the dialogue between the enterprises of nuclear industry in Ukraine and European Union institutions, enterprises of nuclear industry of European countries and their associations.
Today the Association consists of 18  companies. Up to companies - founders: NNEGC «Energoatom», State owned «Eastern Mining and Processing Complex», RPC «Scientific-Production Enterprise «Radiy», PJSC "PIVDENTEPLOENERGOMONTAZH", Rescarch and production enterprise «Hartron-Energo Ltd» and JSC Kharkov Scientific Research & Design Institute "Energoproekt", joined PJSC «Severodonetsk Research and Production Association «Impulse», Association "Nuclear Insurance Pool", ''Scientific and Production Enterprise Monolit Energy'' Ltd, JSC “Turboatom”, State Concern "Nuclear Fuel", RPE " ATOM KOMPLEKS  PRILAD", “Ukrainian Atom Instruments and Systems” corporation, PJSC "Kyiv Central Design Bureau of Valves" and ENCONET Consulting Ges.m.b.H (Joint Support Office), State scientific and technical center for nuclear and radiation safety joined (SSTC NRS), JSC KIEP, JSC "NT-Engineering" joined the UNF Association.

On June, 15 2011 the UNF Association was accepted as an associate member of the European FORATOM at the General Assembly of the European «FORATOM». UNF Association was the first of the adopted by the European Foratom organization from countries, which are not members of the European Union.
UNF associated membership in such influential organization as Foratom is a step towards integration into the European Union. This will allow to co-ordinate positions on key issues of nuclear energy, to establish closer relations with European institutions, which are  in relation to forming of the European energy policy and the development of nuclear energy, to establish cooperation and exchange the experience in the nuclear field with leading global companies.
The membership of FORATOM is made up of 15 national nuclear associations active across Europe and the companies that they represent, and four corporate members, the Czech energy company, CEZ, Fermi Energia in Estonia, NUVIA in France and the Polish energy company, PGE EJ 1. More than 3,000 companies are represented, supporting around 1,100,000 jobs.
