The new President of the Ukrainian Nuclear Forum Association Elected
On November 23, 2021, the General Meeting of the Ukrainian Nuclear Forum elected a new President of the Association. It is Oleksandr Ostapovets, acting First Vice-President of NNEGC Energoatom.
In addition, at the same time elections of the Presidium of the Association were held and the term of their powers was determined.
The General Meeting of the Ukrainian Nuclear Forum Association approved the main activities of the organization for 2022. Among them are promoting the reform of Ukraine's energy sector, the development of hydrogen energy, increasing the potential of the nuclear industry, developing the nuclear fuel cycle and introducing new nuclear technologies, as well as creating conditions for attracting investment and participating in the country's climate policy.
The Association will make every effort to expand it by adding new members and will continue to build institutional relations with public authorities, research institutions, environmental organizations and enterprises that are not members of the UAF.
For reference. The highest governing body of the Association is the General Meeting. The General Meeting is convened at least once a year. The Presidium of the Association is a collegial permanent body in the period between the General Meetings, authorized to decide all issues of the statutory activities of the Association, except for issues within the exclusive competence of the General Meeting. The Presidium of the Association is accountable to the General Meeting. The President of the Association is a senior official of the Association, elected by the General Meeting on the basis of candidates nominated exclusively by the Members of the Association (their representatives). The term of office of the President is determined by the General Meeting, but may not be longer than the term of office of the Presidium.
